There are two Everest Base Camps?!

Tashi and Trevor finally reached North Everest Base Camp (5100m). They'll camp here for 2-3 days to acclimatize and prepare for the long trip up Everest. This is a picture of their camp - and the stunning view of Everest in all her glory!

In order to climb the North side (Tibet/China) Trevor and Tashi needed to acquire two permits: one to visit Tibet and another to climb Everest. There are actually two base camps here - one, a "tourist Base Camp" and the other for climbers, located at the foot of the Rongbuk glacier.
