Hanging out at Nido de Condor (Camp 2) | Trevor Stuart Elevating Lives
The team has set up an “advanced base camp” at Nido de Condor (18,300 ft). Once again, they’ll settle in to acclimatize before proceeding further up the mountain. The time spent just getting used to the altitude (and moving lower for a period if necessary) is key to a successful summit.
Wally Berg, their guide and owner of Berg Adventures, reports that the weather has been unexpectedly warm – no snow even at this elevation and very little wind versus what’s typical. I wonder if Trevor bought all that cold-weather gear for nothing?!?
